Project Overview

Stortec carried out initial excavation works and Civil wors including the bund. Three bespoke tank bases were installed in preparation of tank installation, all work carried out by Stortec with a permanent StortecSite Manager.

All elements of the project carried out by Stortec including pipework, Steelwork, electrical and mechanical works. The Ground Mounted Gas Holder installed is a Stortec designed double membrane  Biodome®.

ULTRASTORE® Stainless Steel Tank Installed using our specialist Jacking Equipment.
The main advantages of a Stainless-steel system:

  • From an environmental point of view the material is made of 85% recycled material already and on at the end of the asset life it is 100% recyclable.
  • From a Design Life Point it offers a minimum 10-year long life then any coating system on the market.
  • It is more robust when handled and is less susceptible to damage in service.
  • From a CAPEX point of view Stainless is very comparable when compared to traditional coated tanks.
